So, if you didn’t know black and white polka dots are a thing this coming season. Target taught me! I am super busy, I have a FT job, run a small business and am growing the Julia Marie Blog so I don’t trend stalk. I keep up with trends because that is a part of my job but I don’t have the time to stalk, I wish I did and I’m busting my butt now so I will have more time to stay on top of it in the future 😉
With that being said, I learned polka dots were on trend (thanks 90’s fashion) on a trip to Target over the weekend. There was at least 6 black and white polka dot dresses. Personally, I’m not huge on polka dots. That’s probably because I don’t wear many prints to begin with so I’m biased. lol When I do play with prints I like basic clean prints such as a polka dot or striped print.
With this dress I feel the vacay ready cut (hello, off the shoulders and tiered ruffled skirt) really plays up the print. I def feel like I should be in Cuba doing a a little salsa. Your girl can cut a rug, no jk!
If you are considering buying the dress I’m wearing here I’d like to give you my honest review. While I do love the cut, print, fit and overall quality I do not like the material. The material reminds me of a children’s costume like for Halloween or to play dress up in. Other than the fabric I love the dress but I wouldn’t recommend it because of that. With that being said, I do have numerous pieces from this retailer and have been pleased with everything thus far, I even have a few pieces in my shopping cart right now for my trip to Charleston later this month. I think this was just one of those “miss” items.
Are you into Polka Dots or is it a No, from you?
