As I’m getting in the flow of blogging I’m falling back in love with fashion and styling which means I’m playing with trends and growing my wardrobe. If you’ve read The Rule of 5 you’ll know I did a severe purge and got rid of 85% of my closet so I have a lot of wardrobe growing to do. lol Excuses, Excuses! A necessary part of any wardrobe is accessories and I’ve been wearing the same hoops daily for 3 years. You could say I was in a style slump. So, it’s absolutely time to pay this area of my wardrobe some attention.
Que Alissa, a Chloe + Isabel merchandiser who generously let me try some pieces to review and share with you all. Now, you all know I love to stretch my wardrobe as far as possible and jewelry is no exception. I picked pieces I could get tons of wear out of and get every pennies worth because, ya know, that’s what I do. We don’t waste around here, especially green paper with dead presidents.
{pictured above} If you haven’t noticed, I LOVE gold! The more the better! So, statement earrings in gold with rhinestone accents were a no brainer. Surprisingly, these are pretty light weight. I wore them all day and didn’t even realize they were there. Finding a large statement earring that is light weight can be hard but this pair wins in that department.
{pictured above} Once again, gold, rhinestones and the perfect frame for my Monogram Necklaces this necklace was another no brainer! I think I may like this necklace best with my XL Block Monogram but we’ll play around some more and find the best layering options. With this being a classic staple piece there is so much you can do with it whether it’s worn alone, layered with a crystal choker or layered with a monogram.
Now, I tried to wear these for photos but it was the last look of the day and I was hot and shaky from too much Starbucks and not enough food so I had a hard time putting them in. However, I did wear them on a office day and love that they are simple (this is my simple, yall) yet make a small statement. I did have trouble getting them in my ears but I’ve also been having trouble putting in my 3 year old hoops I wear daily so I believe it was a user error. Maybe, my ear hole is aging and doesn’t want to be bothered. IDK, I’ll have to talk to google about it later.
{pictured below} Last but not least, I wanted to expand my horizons and try the choker trend. I’m not big on chokers for me, I feel like it makes my neck look thick, lol. However, I do like the leather wrap around choker and this is a nice deep blue so it’s softer than the traditional black you see the most. I still have to play around with it to get a look I’m into. Once again, I tried it later in the day while I was hot, sweaty and shaking from Starbucks OD. I didn’t tie it around enough and I didn’t like it paired with the top I choose. In my opinion, they didn’t compliment one another to the best of their abilities. Def going to pair it with a white colored shirt fully wrapped next.
All in all, the quality of the products gets an A+ from me and they will all be getting plenty of wear. There is also a Lifetime Guarantee on their pieces in the event that life happens and a rhinestone goes missing. I’ve listed a few more pieces below that I’m into. Check those out!
