One trend I’m loving (besides ruffles, give me a break lol) is front tie tops, like, L-O-V-I-N-G!!! I am tying Every. Thing. right now. In fact, I’m planning on tying 4 out of 7 tops in my upcoming shoots for the blog so I hope you’re as into it as I am. I purposely had to tell myself stop Julia, you can’t tie all of your tops or all of your posts will look the same. When I find something I love I tend to run it into the ground and then I’m on to the next thing. Sharing my looks with you all reminds me to mix it up and show variety.
The reasons I love tying a front top is because
1) It adds interest to your look. Think layering without the extra heat an added top creates.
2) Tying your top at the right place emphasizes the waist and creates a slimming illusion. Examples HERE.
3) You don’t have to buy a new top just use button downs, t-shirts, sweatshirts you already own. This is a GREAT way to revitalize an old item. A la The Rule of 5!
The fact that you can make something old in your closet new again just by tying a knot in it SELLS TF outta me! Ya’ll know I like to get 100% use out of things.
Please tell me about any new trends you’re loving so I don’t bore you with ruffles and front tied tops!
P.S. Here’s some more fun front tie tops to try
