Happy Friday, ya’ll!!! I stumbled upon a small husband-wife business out of Charlotte, NC who creates amazing handbags, Gregory Sylvia. The quality is amazing and I give them a highly recommend. This is easily a handbag I’ll have for years to come. Now, ya’ll know I go for a statement handbag as I normally wear neutrals so I let my accessories take center stage. With that being said you also know I love to challenge myself and expand my styling horizons so, styling this Black Handbag to make it Summer time ready it was!

There are a few ways you can style your handbag to make it “new” again or make it season appropriate. As you see here I went with the on-trend bandanna in a fun cactus print and because #teamtoomuch I added a cactus charm/key ring. Ya’ll this bandanna was $1, ONE DOLLAR, from Wal-Mart. There were tons of colors in the traditional bandanna print, I bought a few to wear as headbands a wristwrap thingys. But back to handbag styling … Listed below are a few fun inexpensive ways to sass up your basic handbag.

• Silk Scarf. The key is to pick a print/print that is complimentary to the handbag. For this black handbag scarves I’ve looked at all have a touch of black in them. While, I 100% looked at hot pink for me it’s too much of a contrast vs being complimentary. The silk scarf gives a more polished look.
• Cotton Bandanna. The silk scarves cousin is worn the same but more casual due to the prints and fabric. Bandannas are also shorter so it won’t hand as long or have the ability to make a large bow.
• Fun Charms. I picked this fun Cactus Charm up at H&M, they also has pineapple, strawberries and a few others. A fun charm screams it’s Summer, let’s have a good time.
• Tassel Charm. I have a metallic gold one I picked up at The One Spot and actually but it on with my Cactus situation but it was too much lol I tried though.
• Pom Pom Charms. Ya’ll get you a fun fur Pom Pom charm once again, H&M has a good selection.
