See, what had happened was the watermelon top was supposed to be the feature piece for this months Rule of 5 post but the lighting in the photos didn’t turn out and to be completely transparent I’ve been brainstorming a lot about the imagery I want to produce. Due to this I’m being more selective as to what I share and the images just didn’t make the cut. However, I will share on Insta Stories all 5 looks and the inspiration behind each look. That will be next week when everyone’s back from vacay.
Now that we have that out of the way *wipes sweat off brow* I wanted to participate in 4th of July looks however, I’m not a fan of red, white and blue. I will not purchase nor share anything I don’t love with you all so for me to run around with an American flag tee would scream, “I’m doing this because I think that’s what I’m supposed to do.” I do what I want and what I’m into for Summer is watermelon and I love it even more when the watermelon is more pink than red.
I went for a “chic” grown up look by pairing my $6 top that I found in the children’s department #noshame with high waist skinny jeans, wedge sandals and a sleek top knot. Now ya’ll know I’m fully behind tying all your tops in the front, it just creates a slimming feminine silhouette that I can’t get enough of. You could absolutely get away with this look at #GNO watermelon included.
I know I’m not the only one that can’t get with dressing like a flag or is that just me?
