Happy Labor Day, y’all!!! While some are taking a day of rest or enjoying outdoor activities, I have been and will continue to work all day 😉 I’m super excited to share this Madewell tunic with you all. I’ve already styled and photographed it 2 different ways. One way is styled here and the 2nd will be on my Instagram feed later in the week.
I’ve been wanting a maxi length tunic or button up shirt dress so this tunic spoke to my heart even though it doesn’t reach my ankles lol It is oversized, I’m wearing a medium and normally wear a medium top. It does give maternity vibes from the side so you can size down but I don’t think it will have as dramatic of an effect. I’m always here for the dramatics, so.
This top is available in a blue and white stripe but as you may know one of my favorite uniforms is a white top and denim. It is so classic and versatile. I’ve purchased 5 new white tops in the past week *covers eye emoji* but I promise to sass them up differently for you.
On to my denim, these are a pair of STS Blue slim BF jeans from Nordstrom. Emily Ann Gemma (she’s one of my blogger crushes, we all have 1 or 2.) had a similar pair that I loved but they sold out and this was the updated pair. They are very soft, I did go a size down and if I wanted them to fit snug I could have gone 2 sizes down. I believe that is because these are BF jeans so I wouldn’t give that recommendation on a pair of skinny jeans.
I’m very particular about my denim, I have a big juicy booty (36-28-44, yes, those are my measurements) so back pockets and how jeans make my butt look are important. My back end demands attention so she needs to be at her best. With that being said, the weight of fabric and back pockets don’t do much for me. They don’t do anything bad but they’re not giving me a booty lift either. For the price, I paid $35, they are absolutely worth it. I love the style and how soft they are.
