MONOGRAM NECKLACE | MONOGRAM RING | HOOP EARRINGS
CARDIGAN | SHIRT | JOGGERS: super old from Target | FANNY PACK | SHOES | HAT: $3 at Wal-Mart
This outfit is what The Rule of 5 is all about. My shoes and fanny pack are new, everything else is old and things I’ve had in my closet from 1 to 5 years. This is also a “I threw on all of my faves” outfit, those almost always turn out the best sometimes the end up being a disaster but usually they’re bomb.
When the seasons are changing it can always be difficult to figure out what to wear. For instance, yesterday I saw a lady wearing a sweater poncho and then a young girl with a crop top and short shorts (legit, her butt was hanging out). It’s like the lady didn’t want to let go of winter (or maybe her iron was low) and the girl couldn’t wait for Summer break. The reality is is neither of them knew how to dress because they weren’t sure exactly what the weather was going to give them.
With that being said, the best way to dress with the weather transitioning into Spring is to layer light weight fabrics. The top and joggers I’m wearing are both light weight twills that I purchased in the Summer. I layered this base with a light weight cozy knit cardigan I got this past Fall. By layering the cardigan I prepared for chilly temps but can easily take it off if it gets warmer or during the height of that days temperature. Hashtag, Lunchtime.
P.S. I bought these earrings for shopjuliamarie.com but wasn’t sure if anyone would buy them so I kept them for myself *shrugs* Please let me know if you’d like a pair, I’m preparing for a buying trip and can add them back to the site if others are as into ridiculous hoop earrings like I am.
