Fall style is in full effect, kind of, even though it’s still in the 90’s in ATL. I purchased this denim jumpsuit with year around styling in mind. By rolling up the sleeves and wearing it with sandals I can wear it (inside) in Summer and Spring. Come Winter I can style it with booties or sneakers and a long coat. For a little Fall Fashion look I layered it with a light weight cardigan (shown in this post 😉 ) No worries, I’ll be sharing more images as I put these styling ideas into action.
This denim jumpsuit is a splurge (here’s a more affordable option) however, there are a few items we should always invest in and denim is one of them! You always want to invest in denim for 2 main reasons.
- The right denim can and will literally change the look and shape of your body. You’ll be lifted and pulled in in all the right places. This is due to the materials (NO, all denim is NOT created equal), the cut and even design of the pockets and stitching placement. Those 3 things determine if your jeans are a fail or YASSS QUEEN!
- You can wear the same pair of jeans 2-3 days a week for 5-10 years assuming the style is timeless. Meaning you WILL and can get your monies worth.
I always evaluate cost per wear when making a larger clothing purchase and this jumpsuit I obsessed over for months before pulling the trigger was no exception. Before making this purchase I thought of how many ways I could style it and if it was feasible to wear year around. A jumpsuit is just as easy as your favorite dress as it relates to comfort and the “throw on and go” factor. We know, being able to throw on and go while still looking chic and like I have my life together is my #1 selling point when shopping.
On to the rest of the outfit ….
Camo Tote: Once again, this was an item I had to have! It’s fun, on trend, sturdy and practical. No to mention affordable. Camo is a print that technically never goes out of style but it is absolutely having a moment this Fall.
I needed a new tote bag and found the Canvas Tote Bag at Madewell. Originally, I had a solid color in my shopping cart and then this print was released so I updated my cart ASAP. In unpopular news, I don’t use tote bags in day-to-day life. Tote bags are too restricting for me and I have a shoulder injury that prevents me from putting too much weight on my shoulder. Moral is: with the exception of coffee shop workdays I don’t carry this bag around so I didn’t need it to to be universal to go with my wardrobe.
Cardigan: Last Fall I worked with the team at Mud Pie (they were absolutely wonderful to work with!) and this was one of the items from them. It’s just a great staple for Fall and if you work in a cold office is great for year around. You’ve seen this cardigan before HERE and HERE and I promise you’ll see it again.
Sharing a few photos below so you can see the power of accessories. I took off the cardigan and switch out the camo tote for my favorite statement bag for a fun night out look.
