One thing is for certain, a chambray button down can take your wardrobe to new heights. lol Seriously, a chambray button down is a closet staple and wardrobe classic making it highly versatile for maximizing your wardrobe. This is one item that does not go out of style and can be restyled a million different ways, year around.

In this new “Maximize your Wardrobe” series (they’ll be a new post every Wednesday). I think I’ll call it, Maximize it Wednesday. I’m sharing 1 item and all the ways I’ve styled it in the past 2 years since I started blogging. Sorry, no outfit pix prior to blogging nor will IG story #ootd videos be included. 😉 I’m super excited about this new series for 2 reasons…

1. I’m shopping my own closet by revisiting looks and pieces I haven’t worn in a while. Some of the photos I’ve pulled are older and I 100% forget about an article of clothing or two.
2. I’m excited and happy that you all will be able to get some ideas that you can translate into your own wardrobe therefore helping you to maximize your wardrobe as well.
3. Did I say 2, I meant 3! By compiling all the images of different ways I’ve worn pieces I’m seeing how boring I can dress lol. I definitely need to switch things up and add a layer or 2, maybe a hat, a scarf, more jewelry? Don’t get me wrong I love the looks I’ve captured but the whole point is to style pieces DIFFERENT ways not the same way but with different pieces. By looking at these images all together I’m getting ideas on new ways to style these pieces to make them new again. This excites me and gets my creative juices flowing!

As you see above a Chambray Button Down can be worn anywhere from work (hey trousers!) to the gym, okay, maybe your child’s soccer practice. Other ways to style your Chambray Button Down include but are not limited to …

• Layered under a crew neck sweater come fall
• A ladylike pleated midi skirt. HERE is the skirt I envision
• A chic all black look: Black denim, black booties/heels/boots with a black leather jacket layered over
• Unbuttoned over a swim suit for poolside lounging
• All denim as pictured above with a bright scarf and booties (Sorry, Fall is looming so my ideas are there)
• With white denim, bonus if they’re flares!
• Overalls are currently trending so take it too far by wearing a Chambray button down with your overalls
• Under a puffy vest
• Wear it with a pair of joggers or track pants. Sass it up with heels or keep it casual with sneakers

Seriously, a Chambray Button down is so versatile and I’ve worn mine I’m ready to upgrade (quality) to a new one!
