SIMILAR DRESS | SIMILAR COAT | SIMILAR HAT | BOOTIES
When you have true personal style you don’t shop from store mannequins; you’re able to pull pieces decades old with items fresh from the store to create a current look. IJS *flips hair*
I preach ALL. THE. TIME. about maximizing your wardrobe and the first (maybe second) key rule is by only bringing pieces you 100% love into your closet. When you 100% love every piece you’ll hold onto them for years. Granted the oldest piece worn with this look I thrifted this year but I will hold onto this vintage piece from the 80’s for years (and decades to come).
While I am a huge purger and urge people to keep their closet clean by regularly getting rid of pieces you don’t wear there is an occasional exception to the rule. When you LOVE a piece you have and it’s quality I recommend saving it because it will likely come back around. This coat will go out of style but it’ll come back. This hat was purchased almost 10 years ago and there’s an almost identical one at Target, which is where I bought the hat I’m wearing.
Now, my sweater dress and booties are newer. This sweater dress is from last season but because it is a basic clean cut it still works this season. My booties were just picked up a month or two ago from Nordstrom Rack, I wear them with EVERYTHING. This style was on my wish list for a couple of years but I could only find styles with a stiletto heel or had a more combat cut so I was so excited to find and score this pair!
P.S. The booties are almost sold out but sizes have been going in and out of stock so check back, call around to stores, search the brand and style name in google. Don’t give up!
When you have a curated wardrobe you love it’s so easy to create fresh looks with that one new item you just added to the team.
P.S. I left my leopard clutch in the car and my hot pink handbag was too much for this look so I borrowed my friends LV clutch for the pix. From time to time we borrow each others handbags for photos. #reallife
