COAT: VINTAGE | DENIM | SNEAKERS | SIMILAR SWEATER
This is probably one of my favorite looks from this Winter. I mean do you see how Celeste stands out and commands attention against all black. This is also the first time I wore my vans and this sweater. It was a new look and my TopKnot was at her fullest potential.
While Celeste (my coat if you’re new here) is the show stopper we’re going to chat about my black denim and why you should drop the $140 on them. Maybe black denim or this specific pair isn’t for you but either way you can’t justify $140 on a pair of jeans, I’m going to lead you to the “other” side.
We wear jeans 1-2 times a week and depending on your job 5-7 days a week. You can easily wear the same pair of jeans twice a week for 3 years (if they’re your favorite).
Denim is an investment piece for 2 reasons …
- As said above we get a ton of wear out of them.
- A good pair of denim will change your body shape. Not BBL change but it’ll definitely lift the booty, round it out and hold the stomach in.
The right pair of denim (for you) will have you feeling yourself and taking the long route around the function. If you don’t own a pair of jeans with those abilities you need to keep shopping.
Now, to justify the cost we are going to break down the Cost Per Wear.
If you wear a pair of $140 jeans 1.5 times a week for 3 years your cost per wear is .60 cent per wear. By this equation your denim is cheap AF.
If you bought a pair of jeans from Target for $35 and wore them once a week for a year they’d have holes everywhere by the end of the year. Plus they’re paper thin nor or they making your butt look good, they actually do the opposite. Trust me, I know from experience. You’d also pay .67 cent a wear so technically they’re more expensive.
When you’re shopping you have to look at the long term cost not just the cost at the register.
