Guess who had a move scheduled during a Global Pandemic … if you guessed me, you’d be right! Originally I planned to spend the week I moved in to my new place perusing the aisles at Target and all the best HomeGoods but COVID-19 had other plans so Amazon it was.
A lot of what I’ve purchased thus far and plan to purchase are actually items that needed an “update” such as scrub brushes, silverware, etc. I want to wait until I can shop in person specifically at Home Goods for the fun stuff and items I want to see and touch like dishes.
With that being said you’ll find most items I’m sharing are everyday essentials in our homes. If you watched the video there are two items I returned, one of which I found a much better option for (that is linked below).
ELECTRIC TEA KETTLE
I actually bought this Tea Kettle around Christmas and I LOVE it, it’s one of my favorite Amazon purchases. Unfortunately, I shattered it while moving RIP but I loved it so much I bought a second one.
JUICER
I bought this juicer for my morning celery juice, so far I’ve only used it for that. It works well for the price $45 ish however, if you’re an avid juicer I’m sure you can do better lol. This was my first time trying celery juice or juicing as a whole so I didn’t want to spend much until I was fully committed.
BOTTLE BRUSH CLEANER
Another shot out to the celery juice movement. I bought this bottle brush cleaner to clean the glass beverage thing I use for my celery juice. If you have any bottles with a slim neck this is necessary to get in there and clean.
SCRUB BRUSH
Originally, I bought this scrub brush at Target but after using it for a while it was time for an upgrade so I found it on Amazon. It comes in different colors and is better for the environment that full plastic options.
LIME SQUEEZER
I don’t know why it took me so long to purchase a lime squeezer but this is a game changer! It comes in lemon and orange sizes too. You could always buy the largest size and use it for all three.
PATIO SET
After six years without any outdoor space, no patio or balcony I finally have a small outdoor space known as a balcony. Because I’ve been so deprived my outdoor space was a top priority in furnishing as I plan to work outside along with relax with Nolo (my shih tzu poodle) while the sunsets.
This 3-piece Rocking Patio Set is a great buy for the price. So far, it’s comfortable and function-able. I put it together in less than an hour by myself.
PALM LEAVES
I did return these as they’re super cheap looking
BRASS SCONES
The one “decorative” item I had to have was new bedside lamps. I was SO over actually lamps I wanted my beside tables to be clear of “clutter” and really wanted to style the tables for a nice decorative ambiance.
This were hard AF to figure out as you have to wire them but then again it may have been hard for me because I was dead tired.
I was inspired by higher priced scones I found at CB2, I was able to get a very similar look!
EDISION BULBS
I was fully committed to the look and vibe of the scones so I got this Edison Bulbs, they’re super cute and really elevate the space. I will say I don’t prefer how low and warm the lighting is but I’ll work with it for now and will get a soft white light when it’s time to change the bulbs.
FAUX FEATHER THROW PILLOWS
On Instagram stories I was sharing and getting feedback on how to achieve the slouchy pillow look. I was informed it’s in the pillows and a follower recommended these faux feather throw pillows. So far, I love and recommend them even though I got the wrong size for my pillow sham. We can’t win them all.
MARBLE TOOTHBRUSH HOLDER
I think this is marble, idk my stones lol. This is actually stone or at least really good imitation. This toothbrush holder is a great inexpensive way to elevate your bathroom.
MARBLE VANITY TRAY
Placing your everyday items on a tray helps to make a space look more pulled together and less cluttered even if the same items that were on the counter are on the tray. This Marble Vanity Tray is a perfect match for the toothbrush holder. Currently on my tray is the toothbrush holder, handsoap and lotion.
This tray would be great at the kitchen sink to place dish soap and hand soap. Other options would be a bedside table to put jewelry, glasses, lip balm etc or on your dresser for perfume or trinkets.
