Last week, I took a last minute trip to Miami to celebrate my birthday! I was unsure if I would shoot any content or even share any of my time with you guys. When I travel I usually consider it “off” time, but when I arrived I was “on” so I got a good bit of content for you guys.
TBH, I’ve had plans of traveling and integrating that travel into my content, and the styling I share with you for quite some time. Knowing my future plans for my business (& life) I know I can’t nor do I want to depend on having people to travel with so I went solo to Miami. Previously, for work I traveled solo almost weekly so I’m not new to traveling alone but it is different booking everything yourself and for fun.
Long story long, this Miami trip was a trial run for solo traveling and content for you guys.
Since I didn’t plan an extra day to get outfit content the rooftop at the hotel I stayed at was perfect for quick photos and video. Next Sunday I’ll have a post with the hotel and everything I did while in Miami, but I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Now that we got that out of the way let’s get into what I wore!

TOP
One of my first purchases for Spring Summer. I love this style top, you can pull the top up to hit right under the breast for a super crop look or pull it down for just a smidge of midriff.
I will wear this with high waist denim for everyday wear.
Runs TTS.
SKIRT
My second purchase and my top 3 favorite purchases for S/S. This knit fabric Free People does is my favorite, it’s light weight and breathable but also a bit structured considering it’s a knit. The wrap detailing is “faux” meaning it’s an actual skirt with the added wrap so you don’t have to worry about indecent exposure.

HANDBAG
Hermes inspired, this mini bag is perfect for Summer. Beware when I say mini, it’s mini. My iPhone 13 ProMax does NOT fit horizontally, vertically it fits but 1/3 of it hangs out. I use a card case so that fits. Other than keys, card holder, hand cream, lip balm and colors I don’t carry anything. Everything fits except the phone.

JUMPSUIT
This is the other item in my Top 3, hands down this will be in my most worn items this year. Currently, the white is sold out. A rust color is available rn. This is a Top Rated item from Free People so I’m very confident the white will restock and/or more colors will be released closer to Spring.
Runs TTS, I’m a medium and 5’4″
TOTE BAG
I am not a tote bag girl … I injured my shoulders years ago and it can no longer hang or take the weight of a tote bag. WTBS, when a tote bag is necessary I’m SO happy I got this! It’s light weight, has a zipper closure, holds everything, has a pulled together look but is still casual.
I used this as my personal item on my flight and put my designer handbags (& sunglasses) and all of my electronics inside. I took it to the beach and used it as a regular handbag out to lunch. It also holds my tripod so I can get pix on the go. Oh! and when I’m at home and want to work from a coffee shop I use this to carry my laptop.
I do have the smaller version with the strap, I prefer the look of that one but for actual usage … the large one has already gotten more use and I’ve had the small one for a year and this one for 2 weeks.

KNIT SET
This worked out better than expected, it’s actually light weight and perfect for a Spring Summer night … think 60’s to 70’s. This would work great as seperates as well. I can see the pants with a bandeau in the heat of Summer and the top with high waist jeans in early Spring or Fall.
White is also available in this set! I wore all white everything this F/W so I wanted a change and thought this color would help keep me warmer than the white HA! this is how my mind works.

DRESS
Obesessed!! I love it so much I bought it in the ECRU and this black. Once again, it’s a light weight knit perfect for Summer! I did not bring or shoot the Ecru because I didn’t want to bring too much… next time I will … bring too much! lol
While this appears to be a basic tube dress the fabric and cut make it flattering. There’s piping detailing down the back of the dress that leads to a slit the runs from the knees to the bottom.
This was perfect to wear over my swimsuit but also as a dress with black undergarments underneath.

SKIRT SET
I didn’t actually get a chance to wear this but you guys liked it so much when I shared it in stories I wanted to make sure I got photos in it while in Miami … it’s wayyy too cold to shoot this in Atlanta rn.
This is my least favorite of all the looks … I love the skirt but the top is just okay. Also, the piping/stitching on the skirt particularly in the back cuts in the middle of my butt. It was not made with big booty girls in mind.
On the flip side the quality of the skirt is great! The ribbed knit camouflages any jiggle you may want to keep low key. I bought a chocolate halter neck bodysuit I’m going to style it with when it gets a little warmer … I’m excited to see how I like that.
Overall, cute set. I do recommend it, it just wasn’t my favorite. Runs TTS.
SANDALS
Wanted to address these sandals in FULL detail bc I got SOOO many questions on TikTok and Instagram. TBH, I always get a lot of questions on them. Right now, this sandal is NOT available.
However, the past 2 years it has been re-released at the beginning of Spring so I’m thinking they may come back. I bought mine in 2019 and they are still my most worn sandals.
They are a bit splurg-y especially if you’re not a sandal girl. I’m from the beach (Charleston, SC) and have feet made for Only Fans haha they’re nice what can I say?! So I live in sandals so I def I’m happy to spend on sandals.
WTBS, these are 100% worth the splurge.
Last Summer, 2021, I bought the Valentino Rockstud thong sandals and while I LOVE them and wear them regularly if I could only have one pair I’d pick this pair!
SIZING: I wear an 8/8.5 and got these in a 9. There’s stud detailing that lines the footbed so you’ll need to go up in size.
